Boosting the professional careers of women by improving key competencies and skills
The meeting organized by Madrid Network on September 4 brought to an end the program of activities of the WLead project, as a small-scale project within the framework of the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
The good reception that the project has had, especially the mentoring program, and the training materials that continue to be available to new participants in the WLead Platform lay the groundwork for planning and organizing new activities that will continue it in the near future.
The WLead promoter consortium is made up of two entities, Madrid Network and the Official Chamber of Commerce of Spain in Belgium and Luxembourg. The project aims to promote the acquisition and improvement of professional and personal skills and competencies of the entrepreneurial, employed and unemployed women over 30 years of age seeking to boost their professional careers (growth, change of course, upskilling, reskilling).
The day of September 4 served to celebrate the progress of the women who have participated in the different training and training actions of WLead, sharing conclusions and testimonies from organizers and participants.
The director of Institutional Relations of Madrid Network coordinated the presentation of the participants and moderated the round table between mentors and mentees, also opening the debate to the rest of the attendees, who actively participated in the exchange of experiences and perspectives on how to promote professional growth. of women in different areas and circumstances.
Paloma Lozano showed the resources available on the project platform, as tools to continue inspiring and promoting the personal and professional growth of more women through the WLead community and platform.
Irene Andreu Carrera (Growth and Ecosystem Manager Incibe Emprende by Sherpa Tribe. Spain Co-leader Founders Live), Paloma de Juan Escandell (labor lawyer, LABORMIND) and Lucía Llópiz Domínguez (entrepreneur and founder of LOVA) were part of the round table as participants in the mentoring program, sharing their experience as mentors and mentees.
Ana Rodríguez (TICN Ltd.), presented the Financial Education Module, developed by her, and available on the WLead platform, providing valuable guidelines to know how to deal with financial management on a personal and professional level.
Among the conclusions of the event is the opportunity to organize specific sessions on each of the key competencies selected by WLead, or new editions of the mentoring program.
