WLead launches its Mentoring Program to improve women's leadership skills
WLead is a project co-financed by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, which aims to promote the acquisition and improvement of professional and personal skills and competences of entrepreneurial women, employed and unemployed, over 30 years of age who are looking to boost their professional careers.
On Wednesday, February 14, a presentation meeting was organized for the Mentoring Program that will be carried out within the framework of this project between the months of March and May 2024, aimed at women over 30 years of age with entrepreneurial projects or in the process of professional change (upskilling/reskilling).
Following the welcome and round of presentations, led by Gema Sanz, and the introduction to the WLead project presented by Paloma Lozano, on behalf of Madrid Network as project coordinator, Rubén Linacero presented in detail how the Mentor Network of the Madri+d Foundation for Knowledge works, which collaborates with the project by lending its support as a model of inspiration and good practices, and as a consolidated network of certified mentors.
During the day, the participants who expressed interest in participating as a mentor or mentoree in this program had the opportunity to get to know each other and share their expectations, capabilities, strengths, experience, needs and interests, both openly in the joint session, as well as bilaterally in the networking space with which the meeting ended. This session was the first step to establish the mentor-mentee pairs that will be part of the program.
Following this meeting and once the applications received and the established mentor-mentee pairs have been analyzed, Wlead will inform the confirmed participants of the next steps to follow to carry out the Mentoring Program, which will take place between March and May 2024.
